About
What is Life Coaching?
Life Coaching is a very focused conversation that primarily uses questions to get to the heart of things, in order to facilitate change and transformation. It relies on self-actualization psychology to help psychologically healthy adults continue to grow and develop.
Life Coaching is mobilizing the resources of clients to an agreed outcome that unleashes their talents, passions, and potentials so they can experience more, be more, know and feel more, do more, contribute more, and have more.
Life Coaching stands in contradiction to other helping professions such as training, consulting, psychotherapy & hypnosis. It’s not about healing the past, diagnosing personality disorders, fixing people who have been broken by a trauma, giving expertise or even teaching people how to live their life.
What is Meta-Coaching?
Meta-Coaching refers to facilitating a coaching conversation at a higher level.
It’s coaching to meanings & beliefs rather than coaching to behaviors.
What results from Meta-Coaching is a performance change, an evolutionary and revolutionary change, but most of all a long lasting change.
It is only when you get to the heart of things, to the meaning and beliefs behind every behavior and work on them that a real change happens.
As a sports coach does not have to be an expert in the sport himself, he or she does have to know how to get the best out of the player.
A Meta-Coach is an expert in structure and process rather than in content.
The client is his or her own best expert in content. The Meta-Coach knows how people function and is skilled in getting the best out of his/her clients.
Meta-Coaching facilitates excellence in individuals enabling them to discover the wonder and magic of taking charge of their lives.
